Denture cleaner doesn't just remove bacteria from the surface of your dentures; they can also be used to whiten the surface of your false teeth. There are two types of denture cleaner; the first type involves soaking your dentures in a solution overnight, while another type involves using a soft brush to scrub the surface of the dentures using a cleaning solution. When you visit the local pharmacy or health store, you should look for a brand of denture cleaner which is designed to whiten your teeth as well as clean your dentures.

Peroxide and Baking Soda

Peroxide and baking soda are two everyday ingredients which you may have laying around your home which can be used to whiten your dentures. You simply need to mix these two substances with a little water until it forms a paste. You should then apply this paste to the surface of your dentures. Leave the paste in place for a few minutes and then rub it into the surface using a soft toothbrush. Finally, you should rinse the paste from the surface of your dentures.

Ultrasonic Denture Cleaning Tools

If you have some money you wish to invest in caring for your dentures, you may wish to purchase an ultrasonic denture tool. An ultrasonic denture tool can only be used if you have removable dentures, as you will need to place them in the water within the machine. When switched on, the machine will blast the water with high-frequency ultrasonic waves. These waves cause the water to vibrate which creates friction. This friction will help to remove particles and stains from the surface of your dentures, leaving them shining and white.

If you have any other questions or concerns about caring for your dentures or your overall dental health, you should contact a cosmetic dentist. The dentist will be happy to carry out an assessment of your oral health before offering further advice. Your dentist may recommend that you avoid certain foods or that you have new dentures fitted.
